transpired this season. Sitake was a bad hire. It was obvious from the beginning. It is extremely obvious now. Yet, he has a renewed contract. I could understand the renewal of BYU was on the rise, but it's not. Sitake is what he has always been - a rah rah guy who can't lead unless he gets fired up like Rocky Balboa for a fight. But, that kind of emotion is difficult to sustain. At some point, an HC has to make hard decisions, has to sometimes be on an island and fight for his vision, which means being disciplined, cutting guys, demoting/firing staff, etc. I just don't think Sitake is capable of that kind of leadership. He will never be an Xs/Os guy, which he covers up in post-game interviews with: "We'll look at the film . . . ."
