They can’t leave campus for a year
Get their room inspected daily, and live a mostly celibate life week to week. Then after graduation you have to be in the military. It’s laughable to think BYU is more restricted than a service academy.
I went to West Point and never had an ounce of envy for what the student athletes had to endure in addition to the heavy academic and military load.
Most players only came to West Point because It was one of three D1 offers (the others being Navy and AF).
