I have to agree with your premise. This kind of legacy logic
is the reason why college football is so messed up.
OU has a legacy so they are given the benefit of the doubt. Same with bama, Georgia, Clemson and Michigan. It’s about brand not merit.
That said, I don’t mind if it bites the Utes in the butt this time around. They’ve thrown around the “PAC-12 teams are so much better because they are PAC-12” for so long they deserve the raw end of that stick. Boomer Sooner!! Go Ducks! Go Bears!!
