too much credit for all of it. First Jennifer Rockwood was coaching at BYU long before Tom was AD. As for the volleyball teams yes Holmoe brought in Shawn Olmstead. However it was Shawn who brought Heather to help with the women’s team: I doubt Tom Holmoe even knew who she was. Shawn fought to bring Heather on board at BYU . In fact he insisted Heather be on his staff. My belief Holmoe puts up with the women’s Athletic teams because he has to. Title x requires it. Most of it I don’t think he even cares about. The softball program has been hampered by poor coaching and recruiting for years. The attendance to there games is pathetic. I still remember sitting at home watching the regional women’s volleyball final last season against Texas. One time they panned the crowd and there right before my eyes was Gordon Eakin cheering them on. He only dreams he could have that kind of crowd at his team’s games. Holmoe doesn’t care about the softball program or would have already done something about it. You are giving him too much credit
