The best candidates that come to mind:

Kelly Poppinga — current Co-DC/LB coach at Virginia
Justin Ena — current DC/ILB coach at USU
Shaun Nua — current DL coach at Michigan

I say they're the best candidates because they've got experience, BYU connections, and because it might be argued the BYU DC job is a step forward career-wise for all of them. I say "it might be argued," because I don't think it's definitively true for KPop or Ena. It seems pretty likely to be true for Nua.

Who else would be in the running? Are there other non-BYU but LDS folks? Any non-LDS folks who would consider it?
