I get to interview many job applicants from both schools, it’s
remarkable how well prepared BYU students are intellectually and emotionally to contribute to the workforce. Utah grads are much more non-deterministic. I don’t know if rankings will have a material impact on what matters for the majority of students, which is employability and long-term wealth prospects.

That said, I agree that BYU’s core values will continue to be a distraction for academia and its respective sifting.
