"Thanks for your email. The reason for a required sign-in to view Live TV is because of contracts for our acquired programs on our live stream that need users to validate. However, this process is only required for Live TV and users are not required to sign in for on-demand replays of past programming. Byutv does not expire log in sessions and so from what I've gathered from talking with other viewers who have experienced this, it seems like users sometimes get knocked out when there is an app update or other system update.
