as excellent or very good films: Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back, and Rogue One.
Two are horrible: Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones
The other 5 are entertaining but middling, ranging from good to OK to mediocre.
If you want to subdivide this middle category further, Revenge of the Sith and The Last Jedi are on the lower end of the range, below average, while The Force Awakens and Solo are at the upper end of the range. Return of the Jedi is somewhere in between, IMO — maybe the most average film in the saga.
