It's not unusual, it's been my experience too.
One year I had a guy who was pretty sloppy drunk who was a little loud and kind of in my face but mostly humorous. Someone called security or something because he was escorted out by midway through the first quarter.
Other than that, nothing more than light hearted jabbing back and forth for me. I'll report back next year as I plan to go. So much of life is what you bring to it is my guess.
