In 2018-19, BYU shot 33.0% on 3 pt. shots, and in 2019-20 they are at 40.8%. Additionally, in 2018-19 only 36.4% of the field goal attempts were 3 pt. shots, whereas in 2019-20 they are shooting 43.9% of their shots as 3 pt. shots.

It is clear that they have drastically reduced the number of mid-range inefficient shots and they are shooting much better.
