Some CC members think of it as a discount club... not a donation
I would look at programs like the University of Flordia. They take pride in the fact that their entire athletic program is funded by boosters and sports revenue (unlike most state-run universities they take zero money from the government).

Boosters back east (SEC) see it as their obligation to help support their team. It seems like a lot of CC members see it as a way of getting 'perks'.

IMHO... the CC needs to do a better job selling itself first as a way of supporting the program. Maybe actually showing where the money goes, how it benefits the teams, and what they plan on doing if they get more donations.

People are more likely to donate if they know WHAT their money will do. Something like this...
