Let's say we want to stay regional so we decide that the MWC is the best situation for the program. Nothing prohibits us from scheduling the likes of UCF, Houston, or Memphis in the non-conference. We would already have Boise on the conference schedule.

Or, if we went to the AAC with Boise, SDSU & CSU/UNLV we'd be in a conference with all of the real competition for that spot, making it a default 6th Power conference. So we'd be all but guaranteed the CFP bid simply by winning the conference.
