Yes it sucks they lost to Utah due to some bad defense (and mostly terrible officiating which made it impossible to defend).

Yes we lost to Boise St even though we were the better team in that matchup as well.

But this is a team that utilizes the 3 point line. This is a team with a dominant forward/center in Yoeli Childs. This is a team that plays an up-to-date brand of basketball that pressure the defense at every position and works hard on the defensive end.

We aren't final four good, we don't have that kind of talent. But we are tournament good and I wouldn't want to play us in the tournament because if we are on shooting you are in trouble. Wins over Houston, UCLA, Virginia Tech are the tournament resume building wins we haven't had in a long time. We should have beaten San Diego St who is having a tremendous year.

I am excited for what Pope and company are able to do this year and beyond. I have been very impressed with Pope. The change was overdue and it is fun to watch BYU basketball again.
