Regarding Kalani's recruiting
In my opinion, under Kalani we are not getting the top LDS talent as much as we did under Bronco. There are probably a myriad of reasons for that. More competition from P5 schools, HC issues, academics, BYU not being in a P5 conference, etc. These are issues that Bronco had to deal with but maybe not to the same extent.

But under Kalani, what I have noticed is that we are getting much more quality depth than we did under Bronco. I will never forget the number of walk-ons who ended up starting in the secondary, on the offensive line, and in varous other positions under Bronco. So when someone got hurt, there was a huge dropoff in talent. Under Kalani it seems that we are getting to the point of being 2-3 deep at almost every position. Maybe they aren't all 4 or 5 stars, but they are P5 players.

What needs to happen is for Kalani to win the games that he is supposed to win. Just imagine how much better our recruiting would be this year had we defeated Toledo, South Florida and San Diego State. We would not be going to the Hawaii Bowl. We would probably be ranked and maybe playing in a much higher profile bowl game. That is the next quantum leap for Kalani. Coach your players to bring it every game and win the ones you are supposed to win.

I'm actually pretty amazed at the talent that Bronco had assembled on that '15 (kimdaddy35, Dec 12, 2019 at 3:12pm)
We'd probably get more defensive recruits if we didn't drop 8 every time (Heath Squashwell, Dec 12, 2019 at 1:17pm)
