If you could give me one more episode that takes place between 2 and 3, something that really fleshes out their relationship, you have a really great story thread. Almost like a stand-alone film that doesn’t have to worry about the political side of the story.

As it is, it was a lot of story to cram into 3, well technically 2 movies, because 1 really is it’s own thing. I feel that though both plot lines were rushed, the political/Emperor story line was handled better, likely due to better/seasoned acting, a simpler arc to follow, and not requiring Lucas to write love dialogue.

I liked Anakin’s performance in 3. I was never convinced that Natalie Portman loved him though. Better writing and directing, maybe she pulls it off. Her best performance was Episode One, which I thought she was perfect for.

Long story short, give me Anakin’s story over Luke’s any day.
