players I am not sure I agree.

The single biggest factor that has been holding back the basketball team was Dave Rose. Yes I realize he is the same guy that took the program to perhaps its highest sustained period during the first half of his career.

The actual fact of the matter is guys like Nick Emery and TJ Haws were overrated by recruiting services (I love what TJ has brought to the program, he is a very good player but not a top 50 player or whatever he was rated).

Other guys who were really good like Mika and surprises like Elijah Bryant decided not to stick around because of the coaching and culture.


Now if you are expecting us to be like Kentucky or Duke the biggest factor holding us back is the unwillingness to pay players under the table and spend millions of dollars on their dorm rooms etc. But BYU can be a tournament team almost every year with a good coach.
