This is why I haven’t wanted to rush and buy another TV. I had a 55”
Hitachi plasma from early 2000s that my father gave me a while back. It was rarely used, was something like an $8,000 TV and then he had it professionally calibrated. The BIG problem became that it only had something like 1-2 HDMI inputs. I bought a switcher for it and that worked OK, but became a pain and when watching movies with all the audio equipment it got to be a hassle as well. The biggest issue was the limited HDMI so then I had someone practically give me a 58” panasonic and it had more HDMI connections so that is what we are now using. It’s a great TV and we are only 11-12 feet away.

The ONLY reason I’d look to change would be for size. 65” or larger otherwise there wouldn’t be a point. Problem is, if I have to go OLED, that size is going to be some big time coin. So for something I am fairly satisfied with and a kid in college and other big bills on the horizon, it isn’t something that I “need”. Thanks for your help.
