Problem is that the class difficulty is 100% teacher specific
I remember my Jr year taking a New Testament class and the professor gave his syllabus and it was clear that the research papers required in that class were going to take more time than my physics and math classes. I dropped his section and picked one up that had a midterm and final and zero papers. Got an A and enjoyed the class. It’s unfortunate that you have to shop around.
