I think it's important to remember why that was even posted in the first place.
BigYFan said that there was no way that Gentry going to Virginia could be spun to be anything but a big failure of the coaching staff.
Saying "what if the kid doesn't like the HCO" is simply saying that there are always reasons that a kid might decide to go somewhere besides BYU - and if he had his own reasons for going elsewhere, him doing so doesn't necessarily mean the coaches failed to do their part. It just means the kid picked somewhere else to go.
No one was trying to paint the kid in a negative light. Simply explaining that he might actually have reasons to go elsewhere. That's all I was trying to explain below as well. No one is saying that this kid doesn't like the HCO. And if a kid didn't like the HCO, that doesn't necessarily make them a sinner - as you seem to think is being implied.
