Was Nolan Ryan’s sixth.
- Enjoyed the bash brothers years
- dollar Wednesdays (yes - upper deck tix for $1 in the 90’s)
- being a bleacher bums (before Mount Davis)
- division and league championship clinching games
- peeing shoulder to shoulder with a diverse assortment of men at the troughs
- strangers heckling me at the trough as a 12 year old boy when I got stage fright and took too long
- awesome fireworks shows on the field
- hot dogs and beers being hurled at opposing fans talking trash
- Toronto OF Pat Tabler being heckled throughout a game with shouts of “Hey Tabler - you’re a sluggish Turd!” and “Tabler - does your mother know where you are?”
- Parking at the bart station/seeing the guy playing the sledgehammer string instrument and crossing the bridge while mooing like a cow
- a bucket of KFC being hurled onto field from the upper deck after a frustrating Raiders loss to KC
- a drunk KC fan getting the crap beat out of him by several drunk raider fans
- getting many autographs of amazing players before games
- seeing Genesis and Pink Floyd in concert there.
So grateful for where I grew up and places like the Oakland Coliseum and Candlestick that were such a significant part of my life.
