My three kids probably cried for a solid hour the first night, 30 minutes the...

Next night, and a few minutes the third night. After that, they would fall asleep pretty quickly most nights, except for the occasional ear infection or other sickness.

I fully endorse letting them cry and figuring out how to self-soothe once they hit 4-5 months old.
