This is probably Greenrake-ish, but why don’t teams try to punt....
...the ball into unsuspecting opponents? Just roll the punter out and drill it into a group of defenders that are preparing to block? If the kick is knee-high or skips on the ground, it could bounce off a defender or be difficult to handle.
Kind of like an onside kick but you’re trying to get it to touch the other guys.
It would obviously need to be a trick play and it would need to be carefully planned. But I’ve never seen anyone attempt it before.
Would they be breaking some obscure rule if they tried this?
