I think by the time Mendenhall had left after 10 years, he only had 3 wins over teams ranked in the top 25 at year's end. It's an interesting statistic to track for teams/coaches.

This is a big deal. Since 1974, BYU now has 17 wins against teams that finished the season ranked in the top 25.
