I hold it but I think the proper etiquette should be you hold

The door for your party and keep it open as you walk through when another party is behind you they should reach out and grab the door so when you let go and walk in the door remained open and held. Men need to take the lead in this when walking to entrances anyway, but women are also obviously capable of the mid door hold as I like to call it
