For 2016, those players helped; The 2017 roster was a debacle in contrast
especially on the offensive side.
Now look at the 2006 roster. The best QB play in the last 25 years by John Beck, a 1,000 yard rusher in Curtis Brown, one of the all-time great tight ends (Harline), some solid receivers, and 80% of the starting offensive line. A bunch of great linebackers.
Bronco had to go out and get some assignment sound DBs and a couple other positions and the team was loaded with talent and experience. The 2006 team was going to be great regardless of who was coaching.
Even the 2008-09 teams were loaded with Crowton recruits.
