Waiting in the parking lot that is I-84 not far past the Idaho border.

After 30 min, I call the IDoT.
"Road is closed".
"Why" (Total blue sky, no wind, road is bone dry. I have been going 80mph thru Utah mtns thru Snowville)
"Drifting snow, it's been predicted all week"
"There is zero wind"
"I don't know what to tell you, the Idaho State Police recommended shutting it down"

What in the wide world of sports is going on? It's 43 degrees at my destination in Southern Idaho right now 100 miles away with blue skies and no wind.

I guess between here and there...Snow Miser himself is making his personal visit and creating winter havoc!

Not buying it.

Have to turn around tho. 😠
