Backcountry All-American
Time with my wife and daughters first of all.
After that, its being in the wilderness, alone or with family and friends in nature. Heaven to me is being at10,000' feet, not another soul in sight, casting a fly to alpine trout in pristine mountain water. Its sitting behind a pair of binoculars in the desert or above timberline watching deer, elk, mountain goats, bighorn sheep, buffalo, bears, cougars, etc living their lives undisturbed. Its falling asleep mid day in the shade of heavy timber listening to the birds chirping and the mountain breeze blowing through the spruces and firs. It relaxing by a warm campfire at night, staring up at the stars, away from the responsibilities and the monotony of life, thinking about the big picture and the eternal perspective. Wilderness, nature, wildlife bring me so much joy. Im very grateful to have had the experiences I have over the years.
