It’s a good feeling to max out a machine at the gym, no matter what that machine is. It shows your hard work! Keep it up! Good luck!
I do 8 sets of leg press. Feet close on bottom of push plate, feet wide, 2 sets each. Then feet up at top of push plate and do the same close/wide stance. 4 sets of squats. 4 sets of front hack squats, the 4 sets of back hack squats. I superset all those with calf raises. Then leg extensions, followed by what ever their other machine may be 4 sets each. If you don’t feel weak by the end less rest between each set. I do 30 seconds max rest. That’s my heavy leg day. My light day is all one leg workouts.
I wasn’t seeing results with my legs for years and went all over for ideas. That’s the way of working out my legs that works. After two months I’m seeing veins in my calf’s and cut in my quads. My upper body has always been easy. My biceps measure 18” on off day. Forearms 14.5. My bench got up to 365 for 6 reps, and I can do muscle ups, but I can’t max out the leg press yet! Good for you!
