The reality of the Transfer Portal.. (stats from the AFCA convention)
Here is a stat that was brought up at the AFCA (American Football Coaches Association convention) last week:
An estimated 2700 players have entered the transfer portal so far... only 594 got put back on scholarship at another school (22%).
55% of the players that enter the portal never play again. Of the 45% that get picked up by other schools, only 50% of them got a scholarship.
