around the region. Go with rental car or just excursions? Airbnb, B&B or hotels. Any help/suggestions greatly appreciated!! We kinda know the places we want to see, but looking for advice on lodging and transportation....

Island of Skye and Inverness/Loch Ness is pretty cool as well. St. Andrews is a great town as well. THe drive alone

I always get a rental car, but it may depend on how comfortable you are driving on those tight, narrow roads
