I think its been said before, but may be worth saying again...

There is more profit for us (BYU) in forgetting about cultural insensitivity hurled at our team, than trying to explain to opposing fans why what they are doing crosses a line. I think most of us here probably raise an eye brow and are happy to move on - that is the best action to take.

Granted, I would be hugely embarrassed if our students did something similar like mocked Jewish religious dress, Islamic dress, or even different clothing christian priests wear...I would hate to see that from us. But I accept that not all students in the world (even the WCC) have the social awareness to understand this, and that speaks to their lack of education, not mine, so I don't really need to care about it too much.

There is more profit in not getting pissed off about that stuff.
