Something can be popular, but EXTRA popular in LDS culture

I think Fiddler fits the bill. The idea of a community struggling against outside forces is something that resonates with LDS culture, along with the big families, the religious issues, etc. I find it very satisfying in a way that someone from a purely secular background might not.

I'll bet it's super popular among Jews, of course, since so many of them are watching what may as well be the story of their great-grandparents, and whatever Eastern European village the emmigrated from.
