Mike Conley made only 8 of his first 28 3pt attempts for the Jazz (during the 5
games in October). Since then he's shooting over 39% on nearly 5 attempts/gm.

The Jazz are 1st in the league in team 3pt%, and the difference between them and 2nd place Miami is the same as the difference between Miami and 9th place Dallas. The Jazz are 15th in attempts/gm, but they've been shooting them a lot more recently. After the first 3 weeks of the season they were 26th in 3ptA/gm, so they're definitely trending the right way. And now they've replaced Mudiay's 33.8% on 1.6 attempts (career 32%) with Conley's 39.3% on 5 attempts/gm (career 37.5%), and gotten rid of Jeff Green's 3.5 attempts on 32.7%.

The offense has been cooking, and while the schedule gets far more difficult in terms of quality of teams, many of the teams they'll be playing over the next 2 weeks aren't necessarily great defensively. Dallas is 17th in def eff, Houston is 15th, SA is 23rd, and Portland is 24th. In fact, the best defensive team they play before facing Boston and their 6th best defense on February 26th is Denver. The Nuggets are 11th in def eff and Utah plays them twice before they see Boston. But they also see Portland and SA twice. Then after the Boston game they play the worst, 2nd worst, and 4th worst defensive teams in a row.

Utah is currently 8th in off eff. It's gonna be weird to see the Jazz as a top 5 offensive team after all of these years of clunky spacing and lack of shooting.
