can stay at the top of the grass. Try moving your jig down a little of you aren’t catching anything as sometimes it needs to be in the top 2-3” of grass. Grass height will vary so if you get a little grass on your lure here and there you are fine. Maybe green or green red combo color jig.
Keep in mind you are fishing for bass so fish from a boat if possible. Power bait from the shore isn’t likely going to work.
It’s also winter the fish will slow down and won’t generally hit as hard or be as aggressive but you can still catch quite a few.
Also, I quit fishing a long time ago and tactics may have changed. I’ve never fished Sand Hollow but it’s probably similar in many ways to fishing at Lake Powell and other lakes.
You can try googling drop shot fishing or sand hollow bass fishing in winter and see if something comes up.
Finding a fishing report would be helpful too as they usually have an idea about which lures or methods are working. Might look for a St. George or Hurricane fishing shop or there is one in Holladay that probably has an idea of what to use.
