She should also keep in mind that BYU has changed the admission process with ACT & GPA
not weighted as heavily as in the past. She will want to brush up on her essay writing skills and have her's edited by someone familiar with entrance essays. They matter more than ever and BYU requires more than most schools (4 essays?). They're now looking for a more well rounded student with service, extra curriculars, and glowing references.

He said over 4.0. Some high schools use a scale that awards an extra point (5.0 for an A) in honors classes.
