A little TIC, sure, but isn't the fan base being marginalized in the customer relationship here
In the end, football is entertainment, nothing more. Who are those paying for that entertainment? Who benefits from the paid for entertainment? This coach is charged with putting on a show for an audience — unless we're saying it really is a missionary tool than if so we need to do a whole lot more.

"Give the customers what they want" is time-tested way to success. You can give the "customers" what they want and still keep the standards and protect BYU and the Church.

We seem to be lower our expectations when it comes to wins and losses in order to maintain expectations in other areas. I don't think that you have to make that compromise.
