I enjoy the marathon - well, most of it. If you've done the prep work and built up your mileage, the actual race is kind of fun and extremely rewarding when you finish.
I am super curious as to how it would be more difficult than training for an iron man. I mean, with an iron man you're preparing to run the marathon AND do a 2.4 mile swim AND a 112 mile bike ride. Saying that running just the marathon is harder than any training for the iron man just doesn't sound right. I mean - unless you're so early in the training that you haven't built up distances yet.
