I worked for a Financial Invesmtent firm for a couple of years in 2014-2016

There were two times during that tenure when the entire firm was minutes away from pulling a massive "defensive move to cash" for all their clients in anticipation of a crash. They didn't pull the trigger but same situation. No one back then could have know exactly that we'd go 3-4 years later on the longest bull market in history.

Party has to end at some point. Right? right? right?
