Hate to say, but BYU follower ship is more about loyalty v quality.  It’s tough to justify the past aimlessness of independence—no matter the root causes. Either the powers that be put up the resources and mollify the self imposed challenges or the program will be a shell of itself as ESPN and other enablers retreat.
