Everything up to the last 3 and a half minutes of the game was fun—but it was also kind of silly. Kobe had scored 45 points, but had also shot a ton of shots, and his scoring wasn’t super efficient up to that point. And there was some cheap buckets to pad the box.

Out of the last media timeout, they show a shot of him blowing kisses to his family, and kind of laughing and smiling. Announcer mentions that there had been various video tributes from celebrities, etc throughout the night. But the last one coming out of the last media timeout was from his wife and girls.

Those last 3 minutes were absolutely otherworldly. Couldn’t be stopped. Not just scoring, but scoring on tough ‘no way’ shots. Only cheap thing he got was his last two FT’s.

The reaction shots he got from his family, and particularly Gianna, were reactions like ‘are you serious right now?’
