Bull markets don't simply die of old age. Also, I know by the exact definition

we didn't experience a bear market in Q4 2018, but for all intents and purposes we did. We never got to a 20% drop in closing price from the high in 2018, however we did pass that in intraday trading and closed down about 19.9% from the recent high. Q4 2018 was essentially a bear market.
