ND still owes BYU a number of return games. Holmoe was talking through the discussions between the two Universities. He was also talking about the scheduling philosphy in general.
A couple of things stood out:
- Holmoe said that our convo's with ND have not lead us any closer to putting a date on any return game. ND likes to say that they still want to do the game, but won't discuss them with any meaning or detail.
- Holmoe said that they are now talking about converting the Provo games to be nuetral site games.
- When asked about taking ND down the penalty route where they payout $$ instead of playing, Holmoe said he had not pursued that.
Pathetic. No backbone whatsover. NO WAY should BYU settle for nuetral games in place of Provo games, when the games are already settled in the contract.
I lost confidence in Holmoe a long time ago. I do not believe he can lead BYU Football to anything more than what we've seen in the past decade, the worst decade in BYU football since the 60's. And this display of leadership only confirms my fears.
