SARS and Ebola were both controlled. This probably won't be.

And the fact that it's currently confined to China doesn't mean much so long as it is growing exponentially. The mortality rate is close to that of the Spanish Flu. You can expect some serious, serious consequences if it succeeds in breaking out in other countries.

And even if it doesn't, 150 million people are currently on some form of quarantine or lockdown in China, and that number is growing. The economic effects alone are going to be huge.
