I don't need to punch anything. My knees take care of it. I feel sorry for
people that sit in front of me...until they recline their seat. Then I don't even try. Usually, they turn around with some obnoxious look and I say, "sorry, I'm 6'5" and there isn't enough room for my legs". Most reasonable people move their seat forward, then I make every imaginable effort to not bump the chair in front of me.

I get most frustrated with the airlines for designing seats that weren't designed to fit a normal human (this includes butt room). This is where the frustration should be directed.

It is so wonderful when I travel with my family because the arm rest can come up and I can spread out a little bit. Sweet Relief!! When I am by myself, and have no room besides the square box that I am in, it is miserable and uncomfortable and the 1" that I lose when someone reclines is even worse.

People have every right to recline their seat, and I have every right to move...My guess is they are a lot more comfortable with their "turbulence" while reclined than I am with my sardine position.
