I’d wager that most, if not close to all who have a driver’s license and who
drink socially have driven home while above the legal intoxication limit at least once in their lives. And for most of those, the number of times is a lot more than once.


It’s why it’s so hard to secure a tough sentence against a drunk driver who caused a major accident and/or fatalities. Most of the jury can easily think of themselves as sitting in the defendant’s chair and wouldn’t want the book thrown at themselves.
