I'm 6 feet tall and am always uncomfortable on an airplane, but a two or three inch recline at the top of the seat in front of me has little effect on me. My knees are low enough at the joint of the seat that there's almost no movement toward my knees, and I can balance it out by putting my feet a bit further underneath the seat in front of me.

The only exception is if I'm using a laptop... and I could see it getting tricky if you're maybe over 6'2". 4% of the male population is over 6'2".

The anti-recliners get so dramatic saying their knees support the weight of the person in front of them or that someone spilled their drink once or whatever. Drama queens.
