Her topic? Ballet safety. Yes, while other kids were making posters about safety on computers, phones, and in public places my daughter chose to extrapolate on the finer points of safety in ballet. My wife considered talking her out of it but didn’t since it was my daughter’s original idea.

And here she is with a brand-new bike. She will also be recognized at a banquet with the local sheriff. I’m not sure if I should be proud or embarrassed. I do love seeing her so pleased with herself though.
