This announcement got me thinking. What would you say has been BYU's very best
scheduling agreement announcement since going independent?

I know BYU has gotten some decent deals with some good teams, but not sure we have gotten anything close to this type of H-H agreement with an elite team like LSU. Even with the H-H agreement with Tennessee, we don't get the return game for 4 years. We have played some elite teams in kickoff classics and neutral site games (Oklahoma and LSU come to mind) and we have had some good 2-1s with teams like Wisconsin, but it seems like simple H-Hs like this with elite programs don't happen as often. Makes me a little jealous and even more so because of BYU not being in a P5 and could really benefit being able to schedule a P5 top 25 team as a H-H. And then on top of that, we have teams like Notre Dame who are trying to back out of our agreement and not give the home game.

I know this series Utah got with LSU (and the one they have with Florida) is clear out in the future and a lot can change from now until then, but I find myself wishing BYU could get something similar and just have it be a simple H-H with a really elite program like LSU or Florida. Is not belonging to a P5 conference (even though several conferences have gone on record saying we count as a P5) the reason? Is not winning games and having an average football program over the past several years the issue? Is our status as an independent and basically not having any power since the other team knows how bad we need games the issue? Or maybe bad negotiation skills or not having good enough relationships? Maybe it is combo of several things.
