Appears your son might be higher functioning than my son. My son has warmed up a bit as he's gotten older, but for the longest time he wanted to be alone. I think we worry about him having friends more than he does. He just doesn't see that he is different or worries much about having friends or not.
I am sure your son is different than mine. Having an autistic son has definitely been a learning experience for our family.
He has no desire to be baptized. We've talked to him about it, we've even taken him to other baptisms for him to see what its like. We are worried about it being a traumatic experience if we try to force him in the water. We have been content to let him do it when he is ready.
