Having a 30+ year old down's daughter I can relate.
At the same time our expectations of her are much less. She will live with us as about a 5 year old until my wife and I are gone.
The positive for her is all her church friends. Everybody loves her and says hi to her in the halls, e.t.c. I look forward to seeing what she's like on the other side without all these physical and mental limitations. She is a joy in our early life and I'm sure she'll be that way throughout eternity.
